An Intern Diary with Stelios 🚀 #1
The first month of my internship at Up Hellas has been educational. I learned a lot about the operation of a company, how the work is divided, how sales are distributed to the sales team, and in general how the company operates as an organization. Apart from the organization and operation of the company, I also acquired some more technical skills such as advanced Excel methodologies, using the ordering system and registration of invoices.
I also went to my first client meeting with my excellent colleague Yiannis. Yiannis showed me how you approach every type of customer from larger companies to the smaller ones, how to present yourself to the customer, how to speak and how to meet their needs with our offering. These were the main parts of this "lesson". It was an experience I will definitely remember for a long time, although I do not think this is my true calling for the future.
Finally, all this experience helped me realise what truly interests me for my career. Through daily operations, I realized that the information that circulates daily within a company is a critical part of the decision-making process, both long-and short-term. That is why I try, as much as I can, to support the decision-making of Up Hellas by collecting and analysing data daily, but most importantly by visualizing them.
Hopefully, this experience on major issues of the company will enable me to become better every day, more efficient and therefore more effective!
